Lake of Isles Voted No. 1 In Connecticut For Fourth Consecutive Year
North Stonington, Conn., March 23, 2010 - Lake of Isles’ North Course, a Rees Jones design, was voted No. 1 in Connecticut on Golfweek’s 2010 state-by-state list of “America’s Best Courses You Can Play.” This is the North Course’s forth appearance as No. 1 in the state.

Golfweek’s state-by-state rankings appeared in the magazine’s March 12, 2010 issue. The rankings are based on Golfweek’s panel of raters that evaluates courses using the following criteria: overall strength of routing, feature shaping, natural setting, greens, variety and memorability of holes, conditioning and maintenance, and landscape management.
The North Course is a par-72 layout that stretches more than 7,300 yards from the championship tees. The course features rolling fairways, island tees and greens and extraordinary views, which blend nicely with the incredible natural landscape. The par-4, 479 yard finishing hole has a new look this year and gives golfers more options with wider landing areas and an extended fairway. Also, the addition of grassed surfaces on the fairway side of the lake has shortened the carry from the tee. The North Course is open to guests of Foxwoods Resort Casino and daily-fee golfers. Green fees range from $165 to $195, June – October.
